German trio Who Made Who combine backgrounds in jazz, pop and rock but come rolling out of the voguish punk funk closet with this potent debut offering. It’s all melded together like some new wave DJ set, and, as exhibited by current scene-leaders LCD Soundsystem, there’s a critical understanding of the dynamics of the dance floor via references to seminal voodoo funkers Liquid Liquid et al. Add to that a very poppy song-writing ability, and Who Made Who seems to have what it takes to set the world on fire.
