Found, Found Can Move (Surface Pressure)

 foundcanmove.jpg

Found Can Move is the debut album from local newcomers Tommy Perman, Ziggy Campbell, Kev Sim and Gav Sutherland, now also augmented by Alan Stockdale, who are building a loyal fan-base for their engaging concoction of classic folk, rock, blues, jazz and psychedelic motifs, plus their eponymous, kooky found sounds, all sown together with a glorious post-techno production aesthetic.  This is exciting stuff, paying as many dues to Pink Floyd as early Four Tet, with Campbell’s raspy tones bearing more than a passing resemblance to Floyd’s Dave Gilmour.  And yet, boasting some gloriously affecting songs, Found Can Move sounds genuinely unique.  An enormously promising group of talents just landed.  And right here in Edinburgh, too.  Ace.
