Another good compilation from Nite Grooves, the new Abstract Jazz Journey features our man Rainer digging up some of the best gems from the Nitegrooves catalogue. Some smooth and solid deep, instrumental and vocal gems here, ranging from Kerri Chandler's soul-drenched jazzy workout "On My Way" to the blistering deep grooves of Studio Apt's "Flight." The extended and unreleased mix of the Society's "How's Life" goes down like a jazzy bomb while Ananda's sterling "Justice, Mercy" rounds out this package. Rainer does his best here with some really strong yet never heart stopping stuff from the consistent US label.
